Intense diplomacy at Expo 2020 Dubai Ambassador Albino Malungo visits six pavilions to learn about the economic and cultural reality Angolan diplomacy was once again intense in the United Arab Emirates with the visit made today (11/03/2022) to six pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to this Middle Eastern country, Albino Malungo. Accompanied by staff from the Embassy in the UAE, the Angolan diplomat began to X-ray the South Korean (East Asia) pavilion, went through the sub-theme pavilions, such as Earth-Sustainability and Alif-Mobility, from Oman, Saudi Arabia and Japan. The visits aimed to intensify economic diplomacy through the search for experiences and greater approximation between Angola and the participating countries in the largest business showcase in the world, as well as knowing the current economic and cultural reality of each one, at a time when 20 days for the closing (31 March) of the event. The Embassy of Angola in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been taking advantage of the event to maintain exploratory contacts, whether with the countries with which Angola maintains diplomatic relations, or those that need to establish strong ties of friendship and cooperation. On each visit made today, the Head of Mission exchanged impressions with the guides about the exhibitions on display, always conveying the message of the need to strengthen economic and business cooperation. In the pavilion of Oman, the country where he covers, Albino Malungo signed the book of honor, thanking him for the warm reception, as happened with South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Japan, this being the last pavilion visited. Before being taken on the guided tour, in the Japanese pavilion, the Ambassador was received by the Commissioner-General for Expo 2020, Tomiyasu Nakamura, with whom he shared memories lived in the Land of the Rising Sun. Japan will be the next country to host “Expo Mundo 2025”, an event taking place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, under the motto: “Designing the Society of the Future for Our Lives
