The Kingdom of Bahrain intends to strengthen cooperation with Angola in the most varied areas of the economy, essentially, agro-industry, oil, finance, transport, health and training. The guarantee was given to the non-resident ambassador of Angola to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Albino Malungo, who ended a four-day working visit to Manama, capital of that Middle Eastern country, having met with the ministers of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Industry and Commerce, Zayed Rashid Alzayani, as well as the President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Ahmed Nass. With this entity, which is also responsible for the Union of Arab Chambers, controlling a very influential group with more than 36,000 companies, ambassador Albino Malungo discussed the possibility of increasing business cooperation between the two countries. From the mayor of Bahrain, Angola received the guarantee of setting up a business delegation, which will soon travel to the country to strengthen cooperation. “We left Bahrain with very positive results and I believe that relations will be more diversified and more dynamic,” said the head of Angola’s diplomatic mission in the United Arab Emirates. For the diplomat, some partnerships will be fundamental to meet the needs that Angola needs. “Bahrain is a very important logistical platform. It is the heart of the Gulf and a very important financial hub, as Angola can get the resources we need for infrastructure projects,” he said. The visit of Ambassador Albino Malungo to Bahrain comes after he presented, on 31.05.2022, the letters of credentials to His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in a ceremony held at the Al Sakhir Palace, in the capital Manama, of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Albino Malungo is also responsible for Kuwait, Pakistan and Afghanistan, being in the latter two countries awaiting official confirmation for accreditation by the competent authorities.
