Ambassador’s Message
Welcome to the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
With great satisfaction and a feeling of patriotism, I embrace the guidelines issued by the higher authorities of Angola to represent our country in this strategic region of the Arabian Gulf as the fifth Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the United Arab Emirates.
I did it with determination and equal dedication in my diplomatic tasks over a long period at the Consulate General of Angola in Dubai a while ago.
Like other Ambassadors who performed with pride and determination the tasks assigned to them at this Diplomatic Mission, I will play a role of continuity to promote and increasingly strengthen friendship and cooperation between Angola and the United Arab Emirates and other countries in the region that the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Abu Dhabi covers in non-residential basis, namely, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Afghanistan (currently the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan), and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
We also represent the Republic of Angola in the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) based in Abu Dhabi.
In addition, the Embassy must promote Angola’s interests, serve and protect Angolan citizens, and encourage them to actively participate in our country’s development. I will also be immensely pleased to establish a cordial relationship with other countries accredited to the United Arab Emirates. The Group of African Ambassadors to the UAE has been making efforts based on collective and bilateral diplomacy to make Africa one of the UAE’s foremost economic, technological, scientific and cultural destinations. This site is intended to serve as a source of information about Angola as a country of unlimited and unfolding opportunities for business, investment and tourism. We will commit ourselves following the guidelines of His Excellency the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to work to promote Angola’s good image across borders, seize private investment and attract a greater flow of tourists to the country. Together, we will be stronger!
