The formalization of the diplomatic relations between the two countries was officially marked by the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Abu Dhabi, on September 21st, 2008;

Official Visit to the UAE
The President of the Republic of Angola visits the UAE 
The bilateral relations entered a new heightened level with the first state visit by the then President of the Republic of Angola, His Excellency José Eduardo dos Santos, and the signing of the General Agreement for Economic, Commercial, Industrial, Technological, Financial and Political Cooperation on June 14th, 2015.

The UAE opens its Embassy in Luanda 
The formalization of the diplomatic relations between the two countries was officially marked by the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Abu Dhabi, on September 21st, 2008; and reinforced with the opening of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Luanda on August 1st, 2016.
