PRESENTATION PROGRAM PRESENTED TO VICTIMS OF POLITICAL CONFLICTS

The victims of political conflicts that occurred in the country, in the period between November 11, 1975 and April 4, 2002, will be honored this Thursday, May 27, in a symbolic act in the Santana Cemetery and in the Independence Square.

The Commission for Reconciliation in Memory of Victims of Political Conflicts (CIVICOP), held this Tuesday, May 25, at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, a meeting that analyzed the activities carried out from January to March by Organs internal organs of the Commission , Scientific Technical Group (GTC) and the Commission for the Investigation and Certification of Deaths of Victims of Conflicts. 
At the meeting, with the distinguished members of CIVICOP, the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Francisco Queiroz, invited Angolans to reflect in memory of those who lost their lives and those who suffer from having lost their loved ones. 
“It will be a moment of great spirituality, which will certainly touch our hearts. I would like to invite not only CIVICOP members to participate and with their presence to express their support, forgiveness and reconciliation,” he said.
The minister said that the act will also serve to launch the process of attributing approximately 70 death certificates to the families of those who lost their lives.  
Francisco Queiroz guaranteed that the application for this document will become simpler, faster and free of charge.  
According to a program of activities in honor of the victims of political conflicts in Angola, on the 27th, at 9 am, a wreath will be deposited at the Santana Cemetery.
Then, at Praça da Independência, at 11 am, there will also be the laying of a wreath, a minute of silence in memory of the victims, intonation of the CIVICOP anthem, delivery of certificates to orphans, as well as interventions by a former FAPLA, a representative of the “27 de Maio” Foundation and the minister and coordinator of CIVICOP, Francisco Queiroz. 
The organization has ensured that all biosafety measures against COVID-19 will be safeguarded.
