Minister Manuel Júnior heads delegation to the United Arab Emirates


The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, heads an official delegation, from the 14th to the 19th of this month, to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to hold meetings with government entities and companies.

The delegation, which arrived in this Middle Eastern country yesterday, made up of five Ministers and a Secretary of State, is already holding meetings at the highest level with entities and private companies from the UAE, with emphasis on the meeting held yesterday with the Sheikh Shakhboot Al Nahyan,.Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and, today, with the Abu Dhabi Development Fund (ADFD), a foreign aid agency created by the Government of Abu Dhabi in 1971.

The fund provides concessionary loans to finance economic and social development projects, in addition to managing investments, aimed at expanding and strengthening economies, particularly in the private sector. .tomorrow, the delegation has several meetings with private companies in the United Arab Emirates on the agenda.

The visit of the Angolan ministerial delegation to the Emirates follows the official visit of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, which took place from the 20th to the 22nd of December, last. .the occasion served for the Head of State to strengthen the ties of friendship and bilateral cooperation between Angola and that Arab country.

The Angolan Head of State held meetings at the highest level with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoun, Vice President and Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai, the highest figure in the hierarchy of that emirate, in addition to having met with several men from business in this country.

At the time, the President witnessed the signing ceremony of four memoranda of understanding between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Angola, signed by Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State and Téte António, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola.
